I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my cheeks. I look at my African American husband, our four sons, and our daughter. We're looking at the news. Breaking News in Atlanta, Ga- A peaceful protest turned into chaos. The sadness, fear, anger, and courage are felt at the same time for me. I immediately want to keep my entire family safe in our home. But, I also know that my husband and I have a business to run. Yes, we're entrepreneurs. We are building a legacy for our family and community. We're raising our children to be loving, kind, confident, capable, competent, wise, discerning, courageous, and people of Godly integrity. We're not any different than any other group of people. Our skin color, knowledge, and confidence will always pose a threat. The systemic racism has to end. We as brown people need to stop tearing down our community every time an injustice happens. It takes time and money to rebuild. It affects families. We're still trying to recover from COVID-19. There has to be a better way! I know that we are tired of being murdered for purely existing. I pray for us all. May we gain wisdom on our approach as it pertains to our future as black and brown people and as Americans. We need to fall on our knees and pray for wisdom, protection, and unity. We're in Need of LOVE!!!!! My People Hold On!!!
